Join us for an overview of the current local and regional real estate landscape, with a focus on office, industrial, multi-family, and retail. The panel will explore:

  • Retail trade is no longer just done in retail environments – it’s on our phones/computers, too, and products are being shipped from warehouse spaces by trucks (large and small). How does the shift in retail impact industrial space demand/design?

  • Housing continues to be hot – rental is on a seemingly endless run – but so many projects are a typical 4-5 stories of wood frame construction above ground level retail. Will that continue to be the trend, or how are developers using the first floor in other ways?

  • Millennials reportedly want a convenient live/work/play combination – both in lifestyle and geography. Is that more likely to change where we work, where we live, or where we play? How are office buildings changing the amenity package to respond?

  • We’ve zoned industrial uses out of the center city in favor of expanding residential uses. If we take away jobs (or relocate them) and put people where the jobs once were, aren’t we making transportation worse – especially when the state is cutting funding for Metro Transit? Where are we doing the best job of balancing employer and employee access?
