This program has been postponed out of caution due to the COVID-19 virus. IREM staff will reach out to those who have registered.
This program covers ASTM methods required to field test fenestration products according to industry standards of practice. The biggest difference between ASTM test methods and AAMA specifications are the thresholds by which a product fails. There are also a few key differences in the procedures used to perform the testing, and major differences between the three most common field standards that use a chamber to apply a pressure difference - ASTM E1105, AAMA 502, and AAMA 503.
You'll learn to identify available and applicable fenestration test standards, clarify the purpose of the test standards, determine the appropriate test standard for use, and identify the key differences among the test standards.
